Today´s newsletter features the new SESC 24 de Maio. Designed by multi-laureate architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha, in partnership with MMBB, the new sport and social buildings occupies a former Department Store located in central São Paulo.

Most of the project takes advantage of the existing structure. On the rooftop, often used in São Paulo for heliports, a swimming pool was placed. A new structure go through the entire building in order to support the apparently floating pool volume.
